Today: Fan art and how it's made! ^o^

Okay, so, this fan art post is a little different from the others. Firstly, because with this post, I'm showing step by step how I sketch and draw, and secondly, because the subject is kinda special~ I read this lovely, lovely fic by seed_inyou called "Written in the Stars" a while ago. The fic is locked, you have to be a member of aliceinloveland in order to read it, but shortly, it's a story about Saga getting shot and the last minutes he can spend with the man he loves. There were a few lines in it that I've been rolling over in my head and finally I just had to draw a little something^___- (dunno really how the writer herself will react 8) hopefully I didn't rape her visions completely *sweat*).

He doesn't much look like Saga, but the original picture that I used for preference was Saga cropped from a group shot... So, I say, Saga fan art this is XD;

Lately, the idiotic boyfriend-related stress got out through this art piece and it probably shows. Firstly, the whole time, I kept changing the picture until it looked like... oddly, how I felt. Secondly, why I started drawing this, was because his posture appealed strongly to me, especially the loosely folded arms, as if he's covering a hole after a blow. Therapy session, yes.

And if you're wondering why the picture leaves you a bit uneasy, it is because there's practically no mouth on his face :) "I'm sorry for your worry", yeah.

SO, DEDICATED TO THAT JERK BOYFRIEND OF MINE. BE HAPPY. I sure am~

UPDATE: sunde_jewels should be updated soon with eps 5-7 of Lovers N'Strangers. And, if you noticed, I've changed BCL's layout again. However, it's still a bit unfinished -I don't have a new header yet (I need something bnw with pink, maybe... ideas accepted ;_;), so there's Matsuda Shota till time being. Though there's nothing wrong with Shota-kun.

Okay, this time around, the icons are a little lame but I hope you all will give a look at the FO/profile mini banners I made. They're simple yet rather pretty, at least to my taste, lol. Aaaand, prepare yourself for a Soujiroh Nishikado (Matsuda Shota) overdosage. Others appear as well but yeah, the focus is on the gorgeous tea boy this time around (although Abe Tsuyoshi as Akira Mimasaka fought his way to several icons as well :D Love the duo!).

Icons are mainly from episodes 7 and 11 of the second series. The mini banners for profiles and FO entries are from misc shots of season 1, focus still on Shota (gooosh he was young and babyfaced and aaaawh back then! *flails* *pets* *flails moar*).

The first screencap entry of the year 2009. I figured out I actually had a better capping program on my computer and switched to using it. The result is more caps BUT the overall quality isn't as good anymore since I haven't hand-picked the images. After capping, I went the folders through and deleted some blurry ones I spotted but probably many stayed to your amusement ;)

The actual image quality, however, is good, if not excellent.

I'll get more posted on the upcoming weeks. A lot of Kagrra, and Kiyoharu likely, since it'd be nice to offer full cap directories of their work for fans to use. But, as usual, I try to offer less known bands and artists as well :)

Notice: I didn't crop any of the caps, so the size might include black borders. And since typing it 18371377+ is tiring, I mention it here: none of the caps have been re-touched. Also, I didn't edit the pics in any way for the previews, except for shrinking, of course ;) So, if you're wondering should the quality be okay for iconing, take a look at the preview. If the caps look good in small size, I believe they should work for your graphic-making purposes~ (At least I'm trying to cap them that way^_-)

summary: Because of the things that happened in his past (things that I wish to make a vid of someday 8D), Shuuji's relations with Hayato aren't exactly what one'd call 'warm'. His restlessness leads him to ask advice from Akira, a friend who once pulled him through the hard times. Akira tells Shuuji to go by what his heart says. However, Shuuji finds out his heart is housing more feelings than he expected...

Comments, cookies, compliments and opinions appreciated^o^ Personally, I think turned out nicely, ALTHOUGH completely differently than at first expected! :D I was going to make an even sappier boylove FV with Akame, initially, but then... the Pikame fangirl in me decided to oppose, lol. And, this is what happened ^__-

Also, I've never used two songs in a FV before. With "Loveshift", however, I did. I kind of like the... ironic add it gives to the previously ah! so dramatic fv. And, that way, I stopped myself from making a sequel since during the second "part" I tell what eventually happened.

AND, I want to promote Christian Walz and his almost brand-new pop/dance album "The Corner". It can be listened to fully in Youtube (here). Check out especially such treats as the above mentioned "Loveshift", and "A Beat Like Me", "Hello" and single "What's Your Name".

Yosh! ^^ Because last year's recap entry was very thoughts-evoking in general, and gave me a chance to review the lowest of lows and the highest of highs, I'm doing it again: browsing through blindcottonlove's year 2008 by collecting icon examples of each month and recalling all the unfinished projects.

Oh deeeear lord. I kind of thought that this wouldn't be as painful as last year -my obviously self-destructive mind had this ridiculous thought on it that I'd actually become a better icon artist during the last year ;__; NOT. Especially the early entries of 2008 include soooo embarrasing material that hanging myself sounds rather a good idea. *dwells*

Well, there're good stuff too amongst the bad ones :3 And I've learned heaps of new tricks and skills during the past months. The journal has 98 friends, most of them silent but hey, they're there nonetheless! So I guess I do something righ -occasionally, at least 8))))

This year has been a very interesting one in numerous ways -we started our own fanfiction community with the girls, I finished my first (and last so far XD) icon challenge, I got some fan art made... yeah, a good year all in all.
